Privacy, in plain language.
We collect very little, we store nothing sensitive, and we treat your trust as the whole point of the product. This page explains how Ready File handles information today.
Last updated: June 2026. This is a living document — we'll update it as our products evolve and as we add real account features.
The short version
- We do not store your sensitive documents, passwords, SINs, banking details, or medical records.
- We do not operate an account system that holds your Ready File contents today.
- The only personal information we may receive right now is what you choose to send us by email.
- This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which may process standard technical data (like anonymous analytics or request logs) under their own practices.
What we collect today
Ready File is currently a public website plus early-access email communication. If you contact us — for the checklist, the DIY kit, a guided session, or a question — we receive whatever you put in that email. We use it to respond to you and, if you asked, to keep you informed about the product. We do not sell or rent your information.
What we never ask for
Your Ready File stays with you
A Ready File is a document you create and keep in your own control — a binder, a secure note you own, or wherever your household already trusts. Ready File (the company) does not host, store, or have access to the contents of your Ready File. The DIY kit and guided sessions are tools to help you build it; they are not a storage service.
Hosting and third parties
- Cloudflare Pages hosts this website. Cloudflare may process standard request data and security telemetry under their privacy policy.
- Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may receive a request that includes your IP address.
- We do not currently run third-party advertising or tracking pixels on this site.
Email and communication
If you join an early-access list, we'll use the email address you provided to send you the promised materials and occasional, relevant updates. You can ask to be removed at any time by replying to any email or writing to hello@readyfile.ca. We process requests promptly.
Children's privacy
Ready File is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. A Ready File may contain notes about children written by their caregivers, but those contents are kept by you, not by us.
Your choices and rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information you've shared with us directly. Because we hold very little, this is usually immediate. Write to hello@readyfile.ca and we'll help. If you're in Canada, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial law apply; we aim to meet or exceed those standards.
Future changes
When we launch accounts, the resource portal, or payment, this page will be updated with clear, specific detail about what each involves — before those features go live. We won't quietly expand what we collect. Significant changes will be announced on this page with an updated date.
